What you will study
MSSc in Organisational Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Copenhagen Business School is a two-year full-time master's programme taught in English. It is 120 ECTS and takes a hands-on, studio-based approach to how new ideas turn into real business inside start-ups, social ventures and established companies.
What you study
The programme mixes three areas: innovation and entrepreneurship (35%), politics and sociology (20%), and organisation and management (45%). You learn how new ideas, products and practices emerge within organisations and society, how philosophical and sociological perspectives help you analyse innovation processes, and how leadership, collaboration and organisational design shape change.
In the first year you take courses such as Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Context, Business: Concepts and Prototypes, Strategic Management and Innovation, Entrepreneurial Processes, The Art of Innovation, Organizing Growth, Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Making Social Science Matter. You design and test business models, develop sustainable solutions and learn to lead innovation in different settings.
How the programme is organised
Teaching is studio-based and case-driven. You work with real cases, explore tools and reflect on your own role in driving innovation. Exams include written exams on campus, written assignments, active participation, and group exams with written assignments and oral exams on campus.
The third semester is flexible: you can take electives, a minor (typically three courses), go on exchange at one of CBS's more than 300 partner universities, or do an academic internship in Denmark or abroad, completed with a project report. The fourth semester is the 30 ECTS master's thesis, which you usually write with a fellow student.
Who it suits
This programme suits you if you want to create change and are curious about how new ideas become real business. You should be a critical thinker who questions the status quo and is willing to communicate and defend your views. The programme has 80 students, 76% of them from outside Denmark, so you will work in a diverse, collaborative environment.
