The programme is taught in English over two years in Aalborg, starting in September.
What you study
The first semester gives you a theoretical base in management of technology, innovation and entrepreneurial dynamics. You work on the knowledge and skills to pursue entrepreneurial ideas and to develop new services, products and business areas in existing organisations. In the second semester you move into functional business areas such as entrepreneurial finance, financial accounting, marketing, sustainability, operations, organisational design and project management. You also work on innovative thinking through workshops, facilitation of innovative thinking in project work, strategic and organisational change management, and business model innovation.
The third semester is flexible. You can do a project-based company collaboration of 10, 15 or 20 ECTS, helping to solve real problems for an organisation in Denmark or abroad. You can take electives at Aalborg University Business School. Or you can spend a semester at another Danish or foreign university. The fourth semester is for your master's thesis, where you identify, examine, analyse and reflect on theoretical and practical problems tied to management of technology, innovation and entrepreneurial dynamics.
How the programme is organised
Teaching is problem-based, both individually and in groups. You learn to identify, analyse and present solutions to current, real-world business challenges. Many projects and assignments are carried out in partnership with companies, so you combine theory and practice. The programme is structured around academic modules and semester projects, which you complete with your fellow students. In the first two semesters, each part takes up half of your study time. You also practise your English in an international environment and work with international research-based knowledge.
