What you will study
What you study
This is the Business and Development Studies concentration of the MSc in Business, Language and Culture at Copenhagen Business School. You learn to analyse how international business and economic development interact, with a strong focus on developing countries and emerging markets. That means understanding the complex relationship between the business strategies of firms and the development strategies of governments.
The programme builds on six mandatory core courses of 7.5 ECTS credits each. They map out the thematic ground and give you a conceptual framework for combining the academic fields and disciplines of the degree. On top of the core courses you take regional track courses, so you specialise in a region of your choice.
Language is part of the degree. You work explicitly on your written academic English and on your oral skills in French, German, Japanese, Mandarin or Spanish.
Admission, language and next steps
You qualify for admission if you have a bachelor degree before study start, meet the language requirement before the application deadline, and meet the academic requirements before study start. Meeting the entry requirements does not guarantee a place. The programme has a limited number of places, and if there are more qualified applicants than places, there is a selection process.
Teaching is in English. Students from the EU, EEA and Switzerland study free of charge. Other students pay an application fee and a tuition fee set by CBS. Read the entry requirements and how to apply on the CBS application and admission pages, and find deadlines on How to apply at cbs.dk.
