What you will study

What you study

This is a software engineering degree with cybersecurity built in. You learn to write code from scratch and to understand how modern software systems are built, connected, protected and maintained. The programme covers programming, system development and the design of secure digital solutions. It also brings in distributed systems, cloud technologies, embedded software and databases, so security, reliability and data protection become part of the development process rather than something added afterwards.

The first four semesters each have a clear theme: Secure Programming Fundamentals, Software Engineering and Testing, Secure Distributed Systems, and Secure IoT and System Integration. In the fifth semester you take a cybersecurity specialisation and electives. The sixth semester is an engineering internship, and the seventh semester is innovation and the bachelor project.
