What you will study
This is a one-semester exchange programme for students who have already completed at least two years of study in a similar field. It runs in the spring semester at EK Guldbergsgade in Copenhagen. The programme is taught in English and carries 30 ECTS.
What you study
The semester is split into two modules of 15 ECTS each. The Specialisation Branding module gives you tools and methods to work with brand activation based on a company's overall brand strategy and brand identity. You cover insight as a tool, brand strategy, visual tools, brand identity, campaigns, storytelling and strategy across media. The Design, Business & Technology module mixes trend research and circular business development. You explore current and future trends, build a future trend scenario, and work in teams to create and validate new circular business ideas. The module uses build, measure, learn loops and ends with a group exam where you present your business idea, theory, methods and learning experience.
How the programme is organised
The Branding module is built around three to four small workshops of two to three weeks each, tied to the topics above. You work with real company cases. Teaching is practical: you apply theories and models to cases inspired by real companies. You will work in groups with students of different nationalities, and most casework, projects and exams are group work. The programme also includes case collaborations, guest speakers, workshops, labs and hands-on experiences. You need working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and/or InDesign, as these are the backbone of the programme.
Who it suits
It suits students who want to work with both the strategic and creative sides of branding. You should be curious, open to teamwork and willing to put in the hours. Expect around 40 hours of study and group work per week, even when the fixed schedule looks light. You must attend all lectures to pick up the skills needed to pass the exams. Punctuality matters in Danish study culture, so be on time for classes, advising sessions and group meetings.
Admission, language and next steps
