Overview

SDU has a scholarship scheme for non-EU/EEA students. It is tied to specific programmes at the Vejle and Sønderborg campuses. You do not apply for the scholarship separately. Your application for admission is also your scholarship application.

The scholarship is a full tuition fee waiver. It covers the standard duration of the programme: two years for master's and three years for bachelor's. The waiver covers 30 ECTS per semester. If you take more than 30 ECTS in a semester, the extra credits are not covered.

To keep the scholarship, you must show satisfactory academic progress each semester. That normally means passing 30 ECTS per semester. If you are not making satisfactory progress, the funding may be discontinued for the following semester.

The programmes change for admissions from 2028 onwards. For admissions up to and including 2027, the master's programmes are Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics and Software Engineering at Sønderborg. The bachelor's programmes are Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Interactive Technology Engineering and Software Engineering at Vejle. From 2028, the list expands to include master's programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering and Interactive Technology Engineering at Vejle, while the bachelor's programmes remain the same.
